We are excited to have you join us on our special day to celebrate. Our theme brings together the Hawaiian and Scottish cultures, so we would be thrilled if you wanted to join us in wearing attire that honors either side. Attire should be formal for both the ceremony and reception, though the reception can be a little relaxed (set that coat aside, or loosen your tie).
For those who wish to join the Hawaiian theme, here are links to traditional Hawaiian shirts for men, which should be in what is known as a "reverse print" or muted-color Hawaiian shirt, worn with nice slacks and shoes. A blazer/sportcoat, but no tie, is optional.

For women, a more formal dress in a muted Hawaiian floral theme works well, or a reverse print/muted Hawaiian shirt with a skirt or nice pants and shoes is also acceptable.

For those wishing to join the Scottish theme, here are some links to traditional Scottish attire for men, which should include, at a minimum, a kilt, dress shirt, and a regular or bow tie with a coat, nice shoes, and Scottish socks. There are additional pieces that can be added that you will see in the website but is not necessary unless you want to go all out. For women, a formal dress works well paired with a traditional Scottish broach, or a woman's wedding sash in your choice of tartan.
